Invest $99 in the one-day CRS 111: Short Sales and Foreclosures: Protecting Your Clients’ Interests course; 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the GTAR Training Center with nationally recognized instructor, Frank Serio. Learn practical approaches to the pre-foreclosure and foreclosure processes that will result in the successful disposition of these properties. Get the tools you need to negotiate successfully with financial institutions, sell and List REO and short sale properties, implement a step-by-step process for counseling clients, and more. Cost on or before May 10 is $99; after that date cost will be $129. The CRS 111 course earns you one unit of core education credit toward the CRS designation and completes the core course requirement for the NAR SFR (Short Sales and Foreclosures) Certification; currently pending CE credit with OREC. Vote for GTAR’s “Love Your Neighbor” Poster Contest Winners
GTAR’s Equal Opportunity Committee is sponsoring its third annual poster contest, “Love Your Neighbor” for all elementary school children in Tulsa and surrounding communities. A grand prize winner will be selected from each grade level and awarded $100. In addition, each of their teachers will be awarded $50 to have a party for the class! A record 254 entries were received this year, and the Equal Opportunity Committee has selected the semi-finalists. Now we need you, our GTAR members, to vote to determine the winners. Stop by the GTAR/NORES office from April 19 to April 30; the posters will be on display in the lobby.

REALTOR® Magazine Seeks Good Neighbor Nominations
REALTOR® Magazine, the official publication of the National Association of REALTORS®, is seeking your help in identifying nominees for the 2010 Good Neighbor Awards. The program--now in its 11th year--recognizes REALTORS® whose extraordinary commitment to community service has helped make their communities better places to live. In November, five winners will be announced and receive a $10,000 grant for their community cause, travel expenses to the NAR convention, and extensive publicity to benefit their cause. In addition to the winners, five honorable mentions will receive $2,500 grants. Click Here for Details  Deadline for entries is Friday, May 21, 2010.

Don’t miss GTAR’s most popular and fun event of the year! From 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., attend Fair Housing and the Real Estate Professional with Thurman Miles and earn 3 hours of OREC required FHR CE credit (class is at UMAC in the Redskin Room). Cost is only $10 for GTAR members, but you must pre-register!

After class, head over to the gymnasium for the annual free Trade Show brought to you by our wonderful affiliate members. Visit lots of booths filled with information and services, while enjoying free food, and as usual, there will be tons of door prizes given away during the show. (You do not have to attend class to attend the Trade Show!)
