2008 Greater Tulsa Commercial Market Update – Wednesday, March 12
Don’t miss the educational event of the year for commercial real estate professionals or any real estate professionals who are interested in learning about what’s happened and will be happening in the Tulsa area’s commercial market. Leland Clark with Sooner Investment will be discussing the new Tulsa Hills project in Sapulpa as part of his Land/Development presentation. This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Mark Snead, director of the OSU Center for Applied Economic Research. The Commercial Market Update will be at the Tulsa Renaissance Hotel; buffet breakfast and registration begin at 7:30 a.m. and speaker presentations begin at 8:00 a.m. Cost is $65 per person; course is OREC approved for 3 hours REQUIRED (HOT) CE credit and OREAB approved for 3 hours CE credit. Come learn about Tulsa Public Schools’ plans for $12 million in federal grants to energize Central, Hale, and Webster schools through the following: Central Academy of Fine Art; McLain High School for Science and Technology; Hale High School of Restaurant, Lodging, and Health Management; Webster High School’s Broadcast, Digital Media, and Marketing Magnet. Magnet Schools Recruiter, Shelonda Hawkins, will discuss Tulsa Public Schools’ Magnet Schools. This forum is free but registration is required. Safety Seminar: Don’t be a Victim…Protect Your Most Valuable Asset - YOU! – Friday, March 28
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the GTAR Training Center with Captain, Tracie Lewis with the Tulsa Police Department. In a way that is both entertaining and humorous, Captain Lewis will cover the very serious topic of basic safety practices for real estate professionals (showing houses to strangers, showing houses in high crime areas, taking strangers in your car, what to do if you are a victim of an attack); possible responses to an attack, and more. Whether you are male or female, if you show houses, you should attend this course! OREC approved for 3 hours required HOT CE credit; (class last offered September 2007). Mark Your Calendars for REALTOR® Appreciation Day, Thursday, April 10!
GTAR’s annual REALTOR® Appreciation Day Trade Show and special CE class is at a new time – a month and a day earlier; it’s usually the first Friday in May but at the request of many of you, we are trying a new date. Plan now to attend the free Trade Show at UMAC from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. brought to you by GTAR’s wonderful affiliate members. Visit more than 55 booths of information and services, while enjoying free food, and as usual, there will be tons of door prizes given away during the show.
