REALTOR® Appreciation Day on It’s New Day – Thursday, April 10
GTAR’s annual REALTOR® Appreciation Day Trade Show and special CE class is at a new time – a month and a day earlier; it’s usually the first Friday in May but at the request of many of you, we are trying a new date. Plan now to attend the free Trade Show at UMAC from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. brought to you by GTAR’s wonderful affiliate members. Visit more than 55 booths of information and services, while enjoying free food, and as usual, there will be tons of door prizes given away during the show. Certification for Homebuyer Education Professionals: Monday, April 7 – Friday, April 11
It’s never been more important to protect the value of homeownership! The Oklahoma Homebuyer Education Association is offering Certification for Homebuyer Education Professionals 5-day training sessions with OHEA Certification Exam April 7 – 11 in Tulsa, and September 8 – 12 in OKC. Prospective homeowners need to hear the whole story from someone they trust—make it you! Know what every homebuyer should know before buying; learn how to help prospective buyers understand what you know; teach your clients the principles for successfully maintaining homeownership. OREC approved for 21 hours elective CE credit. Advance registration: $315 for five days (includes all fees and membership dues through December 2008). National Association of Home Builders Sales & Marketing with Henry Thomas– Thursday, April 24
The NAHB class that combines the best of Essential Closing Strategies & Marketing on a Shoe String Budget, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Tulsa HBA Office; continental breakfast and lunch included; registration fee is $250 – member discounts available for Sales & Marketing and HBA members. Teleconference: OREC Revised OK Contract and Related Addenda – Friday, April 25
OREC is offering this new class statewide via teleconference at two times: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. GTAR will be hosting these classes in the GTAR Training Center. The classes will be lecture only, and broadcast from Metro Technology Center in OKC. The instructor will be Terry Pufahl, who serves on the OREC Contract Committee. OREC approved for required HOT CE credit. Attendees will receive a copy of the forms, and the instructor will explain the changes to the contract and related addenda. These classes are free but registration is required. REALTOR® Magazine’s Good Neighbor Award Opens Call for Entries
Nominations are now open for the National Association of REALTORS® ninth annual REALTOR® Magazine Good Neighbor Awards. The program recognizes REALTORS® whose extraordinary commitment to volunteer work has helped make their community a better place to live. The five winners will be announced in November in REALTOR Magazine. Each winner will be recognized at the 2008 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida, receive travel expenses to the conference, national media exposure for his or her community cause, and a $10,000 grant. In addition to the winners, five honorable mentions will each receive a $2,500 grant. Good Neighbor Awards entries must be received by Friday, May 23, 2008.
