REALTOR® Appreciation Day – Thursday, April 10
Don’t miss GTAR’s annual REALTOR® Appreciation Day Trade Show and special CE class! REALTOR® Appreciation Day is a GTAR-member favorite, and every year it gets bigger and better! So, plan now to attend the free Trade Show at UMAC from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. brought to you by GTAR’s affiliate members. Visit more than 65 booths of information and services, while enjoying free food, and as usual, there will be tons of door prizes given away during the show. New this year: Look for the row of tech booths.

This year’s special CE class is eStrategies: How to Give Consumers What They Really Want with national instructor, Verl Workman. Verl has delivered more than 500 seminars over the past 8 years and has helped thousands of people reach their goals through his empowering presentations, tools, and personal coaching programs. The class will be in the Redskin Room at UMAC from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Cost is $15 pre-registered and $20 the day of class (provided seats are still available). “Sold Out”!
Teleconference: OREC Revised OK Contract and Related Addenda – Friday, April 25
Both classes, morning and afternoon, “sold out” Tuesday. At this time, OREC has no plans to offer additional classes. However, we (GTAR) are in the process of scheduling the same OREC Revised OK Contract and Related Addenda class with Attorney Bob Nichols sometime in May; when we have the times and dates, we will let you know.

April is Fair Housing Month!
In celebration, GTAR’s Equal Opportunity Committee is sponsoring a poster contest for all elementary school children in Tulsa and surrounding communities – 30,000 flyers were printed and sent to all elementary schools in the communities that GTAR/NORES serves. The contest is open to anyone in grades 1 through 5 who wish to participate. If you know a child who would like to participate, please give them a flyer! From April 21 to April 30, posters will be on display at the GTAR office, and the winners will be determined by YOU, our members! So be sure to come by the office and vote for your favorite! Prize money is be donated by Executives’ Title, FirsTitle, and Old Republic Home Protection.

Coming Up! OK Broker Relationships CE Class – Monday, April 21

National Association of Home Builders Sales & Marketing – Thursday, April 24
The NAHB class that combines the best of Essential Closing Strategies & Marketing on a Shoe String Budget, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Tulsa HBA Office with Henry Thomas; continental breakfast and lunch included; registration fee is $250 – member discounts available for Sales & Marketing and HBA members. Good Neighbor Awards
The National Association of REALTORS® is seeking entries for their ninth annual REALTOR® Magazine Good Neighbor Awards program which recognizes REALTORS® whose extraordinary commitment to volunteer work has helped make their community a better place to live. The five winners will be announced in November in REALTOR® Magazine. Each winner will be recognized at the 2008 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida, receive travel expenses to the conference, national media exposure for his or her community cause, and a $10,000 grant. In addition to the winners, five honorable mentions will each receive a $2,500 grant. Good Neighbor Awards entries must be received by Friday, May 23, 2008.
