Tired of the Same Old Fair Housing Class?
Then you won't want to miss GTAR's NEW Fair Housing: Cultural Diversity course from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Learn about the cultures that make up our local market—their values, customs, real estate needs, and expectations of real estate professionals. A panel of international guest speakers will represent the following cultures: Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Muslim, and Hispanic. The purpose of this new course is to present a picture of the changing face of the real estate industry to agents, and provide practical skills and tools to increase agents’ effectiveness in servicing all social groups. The course will address issues of diversity, fair housing, and cultural differences. OREC approved for 3 hours required FHR CE credit. Course Details and registration online at tulsarealtors.com; from the main Member Services page, click the red Education bar, then click Register for Classes. GTAR YPN Chapter Start-Up
Young professionals are the future of the real estate business. But in a field where the average age is 52, younger real estate practitioners often struggle for a way to connect with each other and tap into valuable resources that will help them succeed in business. The Young Professionals Network (YPN) is a member-driven organization that helps young real estate professionals excel in their careers by giving them the tools and encouragement to become involved. If you're as excited as we are about helping start this group, take the first step and attend our initial Kick-off meeting October 27 at 3:00 p.m. in the GTAR Training Center. There is no cost to attend but an RSVP would be appreciated—email education@tulsarealtors.com or call 663-7500.
