So what could be better than a weekend full of open houses? GTAR will be encouraging consumers to tour homes and learn more about the benefits of home ownership. Plan to be a part of the 2011 REALTOR® Nationwide Open House Weekend, hosted by GTAR and the National Association of REALTORS®, as well as, other local associations across the country, on Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5. The Nationwide Open House Weekend offers buyers a stress-free way to visit homes for sale in different neighborhoods where they might want to live. For sellers, the weekend provides a high-visibility effort to promote traffic and drive home sales. Signs for Nationwide Open House Weekend – June 4-5
Your GTAR store is well-stocked with all the signs you need to host your open houses during the Nationwide Open House Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5, 2011, including Open House, For Sale, Open Saturday, Open Sunday, directional, and riders.
Attention Brokers/Managers
Please make sure that ALL of your associates have paid their second quarter NORES fees by May 31. ALL COMPANIES who have outstanding NORES invoices on June 1, 2011, will be SUSPENDED from ALL NORES services (MLS, Keys, Xceligent). In addition, a $50 reinstatement fee will be added to the broker which must be paid before NORES services are reinstated.

Broker Price Opinion (BPO): The Agent’s Role in the Valuation Process
With the changing real estate landscape and the increased use of broker price opinions (BPOs) by market participants, the National Association of REALTORS® has launched a new certification, BPO Resource, recognizing REALTORS® who have completed NAR’s new BPO education program. Be among the first in Oklahoma to take this course—GTAR is the first association to offer it! “As the real estate market evolves, we are seeing more demand for broker price opinions, and it’s imperative that REALTORS® are knowledgeable and educated about how BPOs work, as well as the risks involved,” said NAR President Ron Phipps.“The BPO Resource certification not only adds value to the services provided by REALTORS®, but also it helps practitioners grow their business.” Early-bird price is $99—late registration (after June 6) is $129. This popular course by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) of NAR was specifically designed to show how the real estate practitioner can serve as a resource for sellers and buyers in the brokerage of distressed properties.
