This Week! Show Your Pride in Being a REALTOR®
Deadline for Orders is Thursday, February 10

The LeadershipOAR class of 2007 encourages you to show your pride by tagging yourself a professional with a special REALTOR® license plate. OAR must have 500 license plate orders by February 10, 2008 in order for the plates to be produced, so
order today! To date, only about 35 of the 275 ordered tags have come from Tulsa; let’s show our support for this cause! The cost is just $37, most of which will be donated to the Oklahoma Housing Foundation. You do not have to actually put the license plate on your car, you can buy one to support the cause and keep your current plate. Coming Up! Don’t Miss Mike Lipsey at GTAR – Tuesday, February 14
Mr. Lipsey, nationally and internationally recognized leader in training and consulting for the commercial real estate industry, is coming to GTAR on Thursday, February 14 to teach Financial Literacy for Commercial Real Estate Practitioners, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.; this course is OREC approved for 4 hours elective CE credit. Just Added! Fair Housing CE Course – Monday, February 25
Finally, we have a Fair Housing course on the schedule! Real Estate and the Fair Housing Act will be Monday, February 25, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the GTAR Training Center with instructor Ann Lloyd. This is just a basic, no frills Fair Housing course but it is OREC approved for 3 hours required FHR CE credit. 2008 Presidents’ Inaugural Gala – Friday, February 22
This year’s theme is “Cheers to You” and the venue will be the Ford Truck Exhibit Hall at the Tulsa Fairgrounds. Cocktails (cash bar) start at 6:00 p.m. and dinner is at 7:00 p.m. Cost is $50 per person through February 15 and $60 per person after. This year, we will be offering FREE valet parking! 30, 40, and 50-year members will be honored, as well as the 2007 REALTOR® of the Year and Sales Associate of the Year. We will also hear from our new GTAR President, Steve Baker with CB/Richard Ellis, and new NORES President, Doug Horton with Horton Realty. Don’t wait to make your reservations – You will be kicking yourself the next day if you miss this year’s Gala! 2008 Greater Tulsa Commercial Market Update – Wednesday, March 12
This is the ninth year for this event, which has become the educational event of the year for commercial real estate professionals or any real estate professionals who are interested in learning about what’s happened and will be happening in the Tulsa area’s commercial market. The Commercial Market Update will be at the Tulsa Renaissance Hotel; buffet breakfast and registration begin at 7:30 a.m. and speaker presentations begin at 8:00 a.m.; course is currently pending CE credit approval from OREC and OREAB. Cost is $50 if registered by February 15; after that date, cost is $65.
